Biography of Joy Young, Leading Kitchen Designer

Joy Young, Kitchen Cabinetry Designer Joy Young, the Founder of Townhouse Kitchens, Inc. has worked as a kitchen designer for the last 10 years.  She has designed and managed over 100 residential kitchen design and installation projects.

She has designed residential kitchens for homeowners with cabinetry from major manufactures such as Snaidero USA, Rutt Handcrafted cabinetry, and Premier Custom Built. Her design skills range from clean contemporary to classic paneled traditional spaces.  Joy believes that a kitchen should be a seamless continuation of the design style of the home, while still catering to the clients’ functional needs and design aspirations.

Joy has had the opportunity to work with prestigious architects and designers including Smiros and Smiros, KA Design Group (Kenneth Alpert), Haynes Roberts Architects, Stephen Wang Associates, Darren Hennault Interiors, MGroup and Anabelle Seldorf. Joy is noted for refined esthetic, attention to detail, and commitment to ensuring the clients enchantment with the completed project.

For the last 7 years Joy has worked in Manhattan, based in the Architects and Designers building on East 58th street. Previous to that she worked for several kitchen retailers in western and northern New Jersey. Prior to her design career Joy had served as an AVP for Alliance Capital Management as the mutual fund Internal Audit Manager.
